Army of Two Movie
1st September 2010
We've heard and seen before of a few games which have been adapted to movies. For instance back in the 90's Mario was adapted for the silver screen. But in recent years they seem to be flying around with Resident Evil, Prince of Persia and Hitman to name a few.
Now it seems we're hearing more of this type of release more than ever. IGN have an entire section on their website dedicated to games-to-films. There are many speculations about the likes of a Metal Gear Solid movie, Bio Shock and Castlevania. But one game that really stuck for and adaption is Army of Two; this is one of the few EA games in recent years that has been a hit with both adults and teenager. A fast action single / multiplayer game which had a really good feel is about two mercenaries who single handily eliminate squads of armed men. Potential for a massive action flick!
The interesting about this movie is that Scott Z Burns a co-writer of the Bourne series is working on the script. Which has bumped this movie's status into "In Development".

The Town!
18th August 2010
I heard the name ‘The Town' and actually thought well this sounds interesting. So with further investigation I found that this release was actually Ben Affleck's latest project. Co. Written, Directed by Ben this movie brings you into the lives of criminals in the Boston area of the USA so there will be a sense of movies like "The Departed" and "Four Brothers" around.
Ben also has a starring role along with Jeremy Renner (star of the Oscar Award Winning "The Hurt Locker"). The story revolves around two partners in crime Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck) and Jem (Jeremy Renner) when they hoist a bank kidnap the bank manager. They find out the bank manager is from the area both Doug and Jem are from and the story unravels from there. See the trailer below:
