Role
Position: Full time (includes working evenings and weekends)
Location: IMC Tallaght, the Square Shopping Centre, Tallaght
Salary: Negotiable depending on relevant experience
IMC Tallaght is currently looking for an experienced General Manager who is interested in taking their career to the next level. This is a multi skilled position and involves working in all areas of the cinema. The General Manager will be responsible for the duties listed below in addition to liaising with the Operations Manager and Director in relation to the overall performance of the cinema. The General Manager will be expected to lead and motivate their team in order to ensure they meet their annual budgets and targets.
Operational Duties
- Roster and co-ordinate Managers/Staff within agreed budgets
- Train managers/staff in all operations of the cinema
- Operate and maintain the digital projection equipment.
- Supervise and manage the daily operations in the areas of ticketing, concessions and floor
- Ordering/stock taking/ managing the stock variance/minimising wastage
- Ensure the business is fully compliant in all areas of Health and Safety
- Ensure the business is fully compliant in all areas of Human Resources
- Ensure all managers/staff are adhering to the company cash handling procedures
- All administration requirements as directed by the Operations Manager
- Analyse the business and prepare reports, statistics and forecasts.
- Maintain the upkeep of the cinema to the highest standard
Promotional / Customer Service Duties
- Train and ensure the highest level of customer service from all managers/staff
- Deal with customer queries to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Understand the local area and be familiar with the local community.
- Advertise and promote the films and cinema locally.
- Initiate and manage local and company promotions.
- Liaise with all marketing mediums to promote the cinema to its fullest.
Qualifications and Training
Graduates from business, management or leisure studies are preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
A minimum of 5 years retail management experience is required for this senior role.
Key Skills
The successful candidate will possess good problem solving skills and have a keen eye for detail.
They will be able to communicate clearly and effectively with the ability to formulate good working relationships with a wide variety of people.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, IT proficient and have a keen interest in the cinema industry.
